The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race in Namur traditionally offers plenty of excitement. Last year, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado managed to hold off Lucinda Brand on and around the citadel. In the Elite Men’s race, Toon Aerts seemed to be cruising to victory, but the Belgian crashed on the famous slope and had to concede victory to Michael Vanthourenhout.
