Ifeoma Fafunwa show

When a director, a committed Nigerian artist, brings together on stage Belgian and Nigerian actresses as well as citizens of Namur to carry, loud and clear, the voice of women.
When humour, live music and a powerful vital energy relay the importance of their words…

Being a woman, in Belgium, in Nigeria, in the world: what are the similarities and the differences? What do the living conditions, the issues, the cultures say when we come across them?
Can we, with the different strands, weave a universal story? That of an emancipation or a right to emancipation! That of vibrant, joyful and strong energies that come to shake up inequalities, limitations and multiple barriers in the lives of women. How can their cumulative truth, pain, vitality, and joy influence our behavior?

The show will be built on the testimonies of Namur women that the director Ifeoma Fafunwa will collect during several meetings and several stays in the city. Carried on stage by the citizens themselves or by Belgian actresses, these testimonies will be enriched, illuminated by their confrontation with the Nigerian actresses and their life experiences.

Internationally renowned artist, Ifeoma Fafunwa puts her talent and the power of art and performance at the service of women and their emancipation. His previous show, Hear Word! *, deals with mad energy and so many liberating laughs about the weight of traditions, beliefs, family control and that of a male-dominated society on the life and freedom (or little freedom) of Nigerian women.

Powerful, its theatrical productions are a catalyst, a source of inspiration, a source of positive impact on women and society.
