Museum space – Species of spaces
The Delta museum space is partly dedicated to the visibility of one of its most outstanding artists from Namur: Evelyne Axell (1935-1972). In the company of the artist, the latest acquisitions from the collection of the Province of Namur, chosen on the basis of a bias, are presented; that of giving women artists a museum visibility of which they have long been deprived. The historical works collected, dating mainly from the 1960s and 1970s, question the role of the artist and the place of women in society, but also their way of occupying space, whether domestic or institutional, private or public.
