Photographic representations of the atomic industry
Through the works of ten Belgian and international artists, the exhibition highlights the challenges of civil and military nuclear power. At the crossroads of art and information, it creates a dialogue between the realistic representations created by these artists in photography and video, and attempts to lift the veil on an industry that is contradictory in many ways. Nuclear energy is an essential component in the fight against global warming due to its low greenhouse gas emissions. It offers a low-carbon source of electricity, an alternative to fossil fuels that contribute to global warming. However, issues such as radioactive waste management and accident risks remain legitimate points of discussion and concern.
