International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament 26 - 30 July 2023

A gathering of the greatest chair tennis athletes in the world. This is how we could define the Belgian Open. Organized each year in Namur, it sees the best players on the planet parade and the most beautiful encounters on the circuit take place. Gentlemen, ladies, quads, juniors, all categories are represented. But the tournament does not stop at the sporting side: it is also a great human adventure. Its 120 volunteers will not deny it.

A top-flight tennis week!

High-level sport, human experience, awareness-raising actions… The Belgian Open is much more than a simple tournament.
It first welcomes the best athletes in the discipline. Sunday’s finals are the high point of this top-flight tennis week. The Thursday evening exhibition mixing valid and invalid for an unprecedented double also allows the many spectators present each year to realize the quality of the game. Justine Henin, former world No. 1, Steve Darcis and Dominique Monami are already come to rub shoulders with the players in the chair.

The tournament is also a human experience with more than 80 volunteers on site all week. They are present year after year and are the basis of the success of the tournament.
Finally, it is an opportunity for the committee to organize disability awareness actions. For example, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at wheelchair tennis for a few minutes. What better way to become aware of the incredible performance of athletes. Ready? Play!
