In the heart of Old Namur, a few steps from the Cathedral, Les Bateliers museum centre hosts exhibitions, conferences, concerts, theatrical performances and entertainment throughout the year on an exceptional site combining the former master’s house, a chapel from the 19th century and contemporary gallery.

The Decorative Arts Museum, the former mansion of the Counts of Groesbeeck and the marquesses of Croix, with a garden of French inspiration, immerses you in the

atmosphere of a prestigious residence of the 18th century. Next to it is the Archaeological Museum (currently in refurbishment phase), which nevertheless aims to

make visitors rediscover the archaeological collections devoted to the region of Namur through temporary exhibitions.

A veritable cultural island, Les Bateliers connects the Félicien Rops Provincial Museum, the House of Poetry and the House of the Storytelling through gardens that make up part of the urban art route (poetry chairs of the Quebec sculptor Michel Goulet, mural by Tamar Kasparian, miniature sculptures by the Spanish artist Isaac Cordal).
