The Canamurois Challenge, organised on 24 May 2026, consists of a spectacular release of 10,000 plastic ducks on the River Sambre, offering a fun and friendly experience for everyone.
The race, which starts at 2 p.m., is supervised by a bailiff to ensure fairness and transparency in the rankings. The ducks will be collected at the end of the race using a large funnel.
A second race will feature the canamurois, or ‘duck snails,’ a nod to the symbol of Namur. Here, the last to arrive will be rewarded. These duck snails will be on sale in quantities of 600 at a price of €50 each.
