In January 2026, the New Year’s Concert will take on a Parisian flavour. Under the flamboyant sign of the Moulin Rouge, the show promises to immerse audiences in the magic of Offenbach, where the French cancan will click its heels in an explosion of joy and rhythm. But lovers of tradition need not worry: Viennese waltzes will still take centre stage. The programme will unfold its arabesques with masterpieces by Josef and Johann Strauss, from the Emperor Waltz to the sparkling Champagne Galop, not forgetting The Blue Danube and the unmissable Radetzky March, which will make hearts beat to the tempo of imperial elegance.
Like a faithful star in the Namur firmament, mezzo-soprano Albane Carrère returns to light up the stage of the Grand Manège after her humorous performance in 2023.
Her voice, both velvety and brilliant, will bring Offenbach’s arias and opera gems to life.
The Ensemble Instrumental de Wallonie, guided by the batons of Giovanni and Jean-Luc Votano, will weave the musical fabric of this colourful evening, while the Compagnie de Danse du Grand Manège, with its young talents full of elegance and enthusiasm, will choreograph scenes imbued with magic and grace.
