Food lovers in the region have known this restaurant for decades for its home-style cooking.
However, this reopening marks the beginning of a new era.
The addition of ‘by Curtis’ has a lot to do with it. At 23 years old, the new chef, Curtis Maquet, comes straight from La Table de Maxime, a Michelin two-star restaurant in Paliseul, where he spent three years as the right-hand man to chef Maxime Collard.
It was in Dave, in this beautiful building on the banks of the Meuse, that he decided to spread his wings. Behind the limestone walls is a contemporary dining room and kitchen.
